Below we give the official list of who is transferring out of the SDSU program, as compiled through 247.com and individual players announcements via social media most times.
Happy New Year Aztec Nation! We didn’t just survive 2025—we thrived! San Diego State football turned a gloom & doom 3-9 season a year ago to a 9-4 special season to save the program. Save them from what? Well that I’m not quite sure to be honest.
Okay calm down inner monologue. The Aztecs are sitting pretty alright in terms of roster structure as we head into the portal— which opens on Friday officially by the way. But more names have come in to our tracker down below and I’m here to tell you about them.
So here we go:
Kyle Crum
QB 3 Kyle Crum has exited the building. The QB just concluded his fourth year on the Mesa with his degree in hand. I for one am damn proud of him. Many of you are too. I know, I read your comments.
Crum threw his first TD pass against Utah on the road as a freshman. I was there to see it in person and it was pretty nicely done. But then he suffered an injury that ended his season and we never saw him throw another TD pass again.
That was until last Saturday in the New Mexico Bowl. Crum came in after backup QB Bert Emanual Jr. exited the game with an injury and boy did he win over some fans. He showed a lot of moxy and proved to be a gunslinger as he scored both through the air and on the ground trying to miraculously lead the Aztecs back in it vs North Texas. The boys came up short but still an exciting outing and respectable performance.
That game wasn’t enough to lead Crum to a hopeful and competitive opportunity to play again for the Aztecs next season. According to sources he was asked to leave the team knowing that the program was going to pursue a different direction for that QB spot on the roster.
Just an unfortunate way to wrap up his time for SDSU but nothing to be ashamed of. Crum was the model teammate and just the right personality for the locker room during a hectic stretch of football the last few years. With a real opportunity to compete for a spot, Crum should look to perhaps another G5 or perhaps high ranking FCS team were he can thrive and play some fun, meaningful, damn good football.

Mason Baker
Not much we can say about Mason Baker. At 6’7″ 380 lbs, he was the prototypical road grater that this offensive line appeared to be aligning itself with. Baker transfered into SDSU last season after helping lead American River College to seven wins.
With the change in offensive line coaches and the new addition of Bill O’Boyle, it will be interesting to see if the Aztecs continue down this pathway of physical blockers. Either way, we will miss out on the chance to see the mullet & Harry Potter spectacles in action.
San Diego State o-lineman Mason Baker plans to enter the portal, his agency @dreammakerstm tells @chris_hummer and @mzenitz. https://t.co/HGtTCiEveb pic.twitter.com/yEbfilVUpk

Myles Kitt-Denton

Arthur Ban
Well WTF. This one stings. I had high hopes for Tight End Arthur Ban. 6’5″ 240 lbs and with two years in the system already, Arthur was ready to make a big splash in 2026 and I’m mad it won’t happen now. Don’t ever hit me up needing math tutoring ever again Arthur. Joking, that never happened. I suck at math anyways.
But Ban truly did have big time potential in the red & black. But let’s be honest this is a risk. With a minimal amount of gametape from this season, he will no doubt get opportunities. But the grass is not always greener. We’ll see. If Ban can land somewhere and get big snaps, it will be a risk worth taking. If not, I hope he doesn’t regret leaving beautiful San Diego.
I would like to thank all of my coaches and teammates for making SDSU enjoyable and helping me become a better player at the game I love. With that being said I will be entering the transfer portal with THREE years of eligibility.

Hunter Green
Okay what is going on guys. First, backup punter Tashi Dorje declares for the portal. Now starting punter Hunter Green is leaving? Like, did they both have a crush on the same sorority girl and now neither want anything to do with San Diego State Greek Life?
Hunter Green put up a fantastic season often being mentioned by the Ray Guy Award watch list. He should’ve won the Mountain West conference punter award but go snubbed. He’s a big kid and has climbed the ranks so I guess this shouldn’t be a surprise.
But with next season and lots of changes to the program coming, Green was going to get the green light on many punting opportunities. So is there somewhere else he would rather be? Just a head scratcher that leaves SDSU without a punter on the roster. This has to be a major point of concern for Lewis to secure. Field position always plays a big part in a team’s success.
