What the Sons of Montezuma Have To Say
Ross got invited to the Polynesian All American game which is a pretty big deal. Maseuli is in the top 10-20 guards in California. You could possibly move him into Center position similar to Keith Ismael was, but I can see him staying put at the guard spot. He also kind of reminds me of Damien Mama, a former USC player—just a big 6’3″ 320+lb guy who punishes out on the field.
Ross was a national recruit that started in San Diego and moved to Mater Dei in Orange County but with Covid this opened the door for SDSU back home. He was a surprise commit for us being so nationally sought after and so he was easy to get behind when the news broke to the fan base. The great thing about Ross is that you know what position he will be at on the line just based on his build.
If Ross had the ability to play a full season in 2020, he could have moved up to a 4 star ranking.
The guy is an OG that is an absolute mauler who can hold his own in pass protection, but where he is going to shine is destroying the guy in front of him and create enormous running lanes. Not sure what kind of condition he is, but hope he doesnt have to RS his freshman year. Love that he truly wanted to be an Aztec here in San Diego!
