On Wednesday, September 30th, the PAC-12 Conference released their in conference schedule for the 2026-27 Men’s Basketball season. All teams will play each other twice. One home game and one away game against each other.

When it comes to San Diego State, they will be playing a schedule that will get harder and harder as time goes on.

The first game will be a Wednesday night matchup in Corvallis against the Oregon State Beavers. OSU is projected to be a solid squad in the middle of the conference this year. Isaiah Sy will go back to his former school in hope to start off conference play with a victory.

After that, there are two home games against Fresno State and Colorado State. The Bulldogs aren’t a whole lot better than they were last year, but Colorado State will be a solid test for SDSU as per usual.

Then, to close out the first month of conference play, the Aztecs will go to Pullman to face Washington State, come back home for Texas State, and then go back on the road to play against Boise State as well as CSU for a second time.

The first two games of this stretch are definitely easier than the last two games. Last year, San Diego State struggled heavily in Boise and Fort Collins. Both teams, especially Boise State, will be better overall this year.

February is going to be a loaded month as SDSU will take on some of their biggest tests of the year. To start the month, the Aztecs will take on Utah State and Gonzaga back to back in just three days. These teams are some of the best in the conference, and these games are very important as winning in their arenas is not easy at all.

After a five day break, the Aztecs will make an unfamiliar trip to San Marcos, Texas to take on Texas State for a second time. After a potential trap game, they will make another trip. This time, to Logan, Utah. As I said earlier, Utah State has a great home court advantage that almost no team could ever get used to.

After a tough matchup with the Aggies, SDSU will go back home for two games against Washington State and Oregon State. These games will be easier, but nevertheless very important to win after a tough road trip to Logan.

Coming up on the end of February, there will be one more road trip as San Diego State will go to the Kennel in Spokane, as well as Fresno State six days after.

Gonzaga will be a very tough team to beat, especially in their building, but the Aztecs did indeed win when they last went to the Kennel.

After that, SDSU will finish off their regular season with a matchup against Boise State at home.

Overall, San Diego State’s PAC12 schedule is very tough. There are three multi game road trips, with of course a guaranteed matchup at every single PAC12 arena which was not the case in the Mountain West.

If the Aztecs can beat Utah State, Gonzaga, Colorado State, and Boise State at least once, they will be a very well respected basketball team.
